Cath Lab Technician

Roles & Responsibilities

- Assist cardiologists during Coronary Angiography (CAG), PTCA/PCI, temporary pacemaker insertion, and other interventional cardiac procedures.
- Prepare the Cath Lab, patients, instruments, equipment, and consumables before procedures.
- Operate and assist with Cath Lab equipment, imaging systems, patient monitoring equipment, and related devices.
- Assist in maintaining a sterile and aseptic environment throughout procedures.
- Handle and maintain catheters, guidewires, balloons, stents, contrast media, and other Cath Lab consumables.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs during procedures under the direction of the clinical team.
- Maintain procedure records, equipment logs, implant records, and consumable documentation.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely availability of Cath Lab consumables and emergency supplies.
- Follow infection-control, radiation-safety, patient-safety, and NABH standards.




- Assist with cleaning, disinfection, and routine maintenance of Cath Lab equipment and work areas.
- Coordinate effectively with cardiologists, nurses, technicians, and other departments.
- Support quality-assurance activities, equipment checks, and departmental audits.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies and professional standards.

Eligibility & Qualification

- B.Sc. / Diploma in Cardiac Care Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Cath Lab Technology.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in a Cath Lab or Cardiology department.
