1. ROLE PURPOSE
The General Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and operational performance of the company. The GM will coordinate between departments, ensure that company plans and targets are properly executed, monitor operational performance, and support management in achieving business objectives.
The role requires strong leadership, decision-making, team management, business coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Overall Operations Management
- Manage and monitor the day-to-day operations of the company.
- Ensure smooth coordination between Sales, Design, Production, Procurement, Stores, Accounts, HR, and Site Operations.
- Monitor whether departmental activities are progressing according to company plans and deadlines.
- Identify operational issues and take corrective action.
- Ensure that company policies, procedures, and management decisions are properly implemented.
B. Business & Performance Management
- Assist the CEO/MD in achieving company goals and business targets.
- Set departmental targets in coordination with respective department heads.
- Monitor overall business performance, productivity, revenue, expenses, and operational efficiency.
- Review departmental reports and performance regularly.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend suitable actions to management.
C. Team & Staff Management
- Lead and coordinate department heads and key employees.
- Ensure employees understand their responsibilities, targets, and expected performance.
- Monitor staff productivity, discipline, attendance, and work efficiency in coordination with HR.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
- Address inter-departmental conflicts and operational issues.
- Support HR in manpower planning, recruitment requirements, employee performance, and disciplinary matters.
D. Project & Production Coordination
- Monitor the progress of ongoing interior projects from order confirmation to completion.
- Coordinate between design, production, procurement, stores, transportation, and site teams.
- Ensure projects are completed within the planned time, quality, and cost requirements.
- Identify project delays, material shortages, manpower issues, and other operational challenges.
- Ensure proper escalation of major project issues to the CEO/MD.
E. Sales & Customer Coordination
- Monitor sales performance and business development activities.
- Review sales targets, lead conversion, collections, and customer follow-ups.
- Support the sales team in handling important clients and major business opportunities.
- Coordinate with project and production teams to ensure customer commitments are achievable.
- Handle major customer complaints or escalated issues when required.
F. Financial & Cost Control
- Monitor company expenses and operational costs.
- Coordinate with Accounts regarding budgets, outstanding payments, collections, and cash-flow requirements.
- Ensure departments operate within approved budgets and company policies.
- Monitor unnecessary expenses and recommend cost-control measures.
- Review major purchase and operational requirements before submitting them to management for approval.
G. Procurement & Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with Procurement and Stores to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Monitor material requirements for projects and production.
- Ensure proper coordination between purchase orders, material receiving, inventory, and project requirements.
- Identify material wastage, shortage, overstocking, or procurement delays.
H. Reporting & Management Communication
- Review regular reports from all major departments.
- Prepare or consolidate management reports regarding:
- Sales performance
- Project status
- Production performance
- Procurement
- Inventory
- Staff performance
- Expenses
- Collections
- Operational issues
- Present important updates, risks, and recommendations to the CEO/MD.
- Maintain clear communication between management and department heads.
I. Quality & Process Improvement
- Ensure company processes are followed consistently.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements with management approval.
- Monitor quality standards in production and site execution.
- Reduce rework, material wastage, delays, and operational errors.
- Develop systems to improve productivity and accountability.
J. Compliance & Discipline
- Ensure departments follow company policies, safety requirements, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with HR regarding employee disciplinary matters.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of major incidents or operational issues.
- Support management in maintaining a professional and accountable work environment.
3. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent management qualification is preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant management/operations experience preferred.
- Experience in interior, construction, manufacturing, project management, or related industries will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of business operations and team management.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
