Role overview

We need a qualified Chartered Accountant to own finance, tax and compliance across our two entities. The role reports directly to the promoter and leads the in-house accounts team.

Bachoomal Sons (multi-brand garment showroom, ~185 staff); Suchit Ventures Pvt Ltd (trading and investment company, planned PMS)

Key responsibilities1. GST compliance and litigation

- Timely filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 and 9C for all GST registrations.
- Monthly ITC reconciliation with GSTR-2B; follow up with brand suppliers and vendors on mismatches.
- Own all pending GST matters: show cause notices (DRC-01), audit and discrepancy notices, and appeals (currently FY 2020-21, FY 2022-23 and FY 2023-24 for Bachoomal Sons).
- Prepare replies, reconciliations and evidence files; attend hearings with the external consultant or counsel.
- Maintain a notice tracker with due dates, hearing dates and status.

2. Income tax and TDS

- Income tax returns for all entities, the firm and the promoter family.
- Advance tax estimates every quarter; TDS/TCS deduction, deposit and quarterly returns.
- Reconcile Form 26AS and AIS; handle notices, scrutiny and appeals.
- Tax treatment of F&O; and equity income (business income vs capital gains) for Suchit Ventures.

3. Accounting and year-end closing

- Supervise day-to-day accounting in Tally for both entities.
- Monthly closing: bank, cash, vendor, brand and customer reconciliations.
- Inventory accounting for multi-brand stock: sale-or-return, consignment and discount settlements with brands.
- Finalise annual accounts and close each financial year on schedule.

4. Audit coordination





- Coordinate statutory audit, tax audit (Section 44AB) and GST audit with the external auditors.
- Prepare audit schedules, ledgers and supporting documents; close audit queries.
- Run periodic internal checks on cash, stock and store billing.

5. Company law (Suchit Ventures Pvt Ltd)

- ROC filings (AOC-4, MGT-7, DIR-3 KYC), board and AGM minutes, statutory registers.
- Coordinate with the Company Secretary where needed.

6. Trading, investments and PMS

- Book F&O; and equity trades from broker contract notes and ledgers; reconcile holdings with the demat statement.
- Track realised and unrealised P&L;, trading charges and margin.
- Manage documentation, pledges and interest for the loan against shares.
- Support the SEBI PMS registration: net worth computation, financials and compliance setup.

7. MIS, cash flow and banking

- Monthly MIS for the promoter: sales by store and brand, margins, expenses and cash position.
- Cash flow and working capital planning; payment scheduling for brand suppliers.
- Bank relationships, loan documents, CMA data and renewals.

8. Payroll and labour compliance

- Oversee payroll for ~185 employees; PF, ESI, professional tax and bonus compliance.

9. Recent store and projects

- Budgets and cost control for current stores and fit-outs; vendor payment approvals and capex tracking.

10. Team leadership

- Lead and train the accounts team; set processes, checklists and a compliance calendar.




- Act as the single point of contact for external CAs, consultants, banks and tax departments.

Qualifications and experience

Required

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI member).
- 4–8 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in retail, distribution or a CA firm with a solid GST practice.
- Hands-on experience drafting GST notice replies and appearing at hearings.
- Has finalised accounts and handled audits for multi-entity groups.
- Advanced Tally Prime and Excel skills; comfortable with the GST, income tax (TRACES) and MCA portals.

Preferred

- Experience with multi-brand retail inventory and brand settlements.
- Understanding of F&O; and equity taxation, broker contract notes and demat reconciliation.
- Exposure to SEBI compliance (PMS or AIF) or a DISA/GST certification.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Agra.

Terms

- Employment: full-time, in office in Agra; six days a week.
- Salary: to be decided, based on experience.
- Probation: 6 months.
- Notice period: to be decided.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
