JOB DESCRIPTION – SERVICE ENGINEER (MECHANICAL)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Service Engineer – Mechanical to handle installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and servicing of industrial machinery and laser machines at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Installation and commissioning of laser cutting, marking and welding machines.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems in machines and equipment.
- Machine alignment, leveling and mechanical adjustment.
- Work on bearings, linear guides, ball screws, couplings, belts, pulleys and mechanical assemblies.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic systems, cylinders, valves, fittings and air lines.
- Inspect machine components and identify defective parts.
- Handle replacement and installation of machine spare parts.
- Support laser cutting head and machine mechanical maintenance.




- Attend customer service calls and provide on-site technical support.
- Prepare service reports after completing customer visits.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of machine assembly and alignment.
- Knowledge of bearings, linear guides, ball screws, couplings and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Basic knowledge of CNC/laser machines will be an advantage.
- Valuable communication and customer-handling skills.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations.

Qualification

Preferred:

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- B.E./B.Tech Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 2–4 years in:

- Industrial machinery
- CNC machines
- Laser machines
- SPM
- Automation equipment
- Manufacturing machinery
- Machine maintenance/service

Salary

Depending on experience and skills
