Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Java Backend Developer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong command over Core Java and backend engineering principles, excellent problem-solving ability, and practical experience building reliable, high-performance applications. The candidate should be someone who understands the technology deeply, writes clean and maintainable code, and can independently take ownership of assigned modules and deliverables.

This role requires a developer who is technically strong, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a product-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications using Java.
- Develop clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following established coding standards.
- Work extensively with Core Java, Object-Oriented Programming, Collections, Multithreading, Exception Handling, and Java 8+ features.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Work with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate.
- Design and optimize database queries and data-access layers.
- Work with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar RDBMS.
- Understand and implement appropriate design patterns and software engineering principles.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform effective root-cause analysis.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application performance.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding-quality standards.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps, architects,



and other stakeholders.
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural and design decisions.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into technically sound solutions.
- Take ownership of assigned features/modules from development through deployment and support.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Required Technical Skills

Must Have:

- 4+ years of professional experience in Java Backend Development.
- Strong knowledge of Core Java.
- Excellent understanding of OOP, Collections, Multithreading, Exception Handling, Generics, Streams, and Java 8+ features.
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
- Good knowledge of REST APIs and Microservices architecture.
- Strong experience with JPA/Hibernate.
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of SOLID principles and common Design Patterns.
- Experience with Git/version-control systems.
- Valuable understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and API security.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write clean, production-ready and maintainable code.

Positive to Have

- Experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ or other messaging systems.
- Knowledge of Redis or other caching technologies.
- Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working with distributed systems.




- Understanding of performance monitoring and application observability.
- Exposure to Kubernetes.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
