Muhammed & Co., Chartered Accountants is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Audit Associate to join our Audit & Assurance team in Kannur.

This position provides hands-on exposure to Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Internal Audit, Accounting, GST, TDS, Income Tax and Financial Statement Review across clients from different industries.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in Statutory Audits, Tax Audits and Internal Audits.
- Verify books of accounts, vouchers, invoices and supporting documents.
- Perform ledger scrutiny and account reconciliations.
- Verify Bank, Cash, Debtors, Creditors, Fixed Assets, Inventory and other balances.
- Prepare audit working papers, schedules and supporting documentation.
- Assist in the preparation and finalisation of financial statements.
- Identify accounting errors,



discrepancies and compliance issues.
- Assist in verification of GST, TDS and Income Tax compliances.
- Work with Tally Prime, MS Excel and other accounting software.
- Coordinate with clients for audit-related documents and information.
- Report audit observations and findings to the Audit Manager / Team Lead.
- Complete assigned audit work within the required timelines.

Qualification

B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter or equivalent qualification

Candidates with previous experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm, Audit firm or Accounting role will be preferred.
