Specialist Assistant Manager- US Strategy

We are looking for a professional with 6+ years of experience in corporate strategy and/or business consulting to join the US Strategy team in India. The team helps set the long-term direction for Deloitte, its businesses, and enabling areas by applying an integrated, strategic approach to complex, high-impact issues and opportunities. The team also provides programmatic support and develops ad hoc assessments to supplement firm leaders' knowledge of Deloitte's competitive landscape. The candidate should be self-motivated, technology savvy, and able to work well with a diverse set of professionals across India and the US.

Work you'll do

As an Assistant Manager in the US Strategy team in US India (USI), you will work on high-impact, high-visibility projects aligned with developing or supporting Deloitte firm leadership's strategic priorities. Projects often involve collaboration across workstreams to ensure coordination and alignment. The professional will need to frame or refine hypotheses, analyze a large volume of quantitative and qualitative data, and communicate executive-ready insights, trends, and next steps (verbal and written), as appropriate.

Your key responsibilities will include

- Collaborate with US/India team members and manage all aspects of projects with minimal supervision from ideation to delivery

- Assist team members to ensure that work meets accuracy and quality standards

- Analyze and interpret project data, draw conclusions, and develop recommendations

- Build, synthesize, and present strategic insights and recommendations

- Independently develop reports, write briefs, and review work done by the team; coaches team members on organizing their output logically and persuasively

- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions; surface ideas while holistically understanding the project requirements, along with Deloitte offerings, to propose effective solutions





- Build effective working relationships with subject matter experts and clients

Location: Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Mumbai

Shift Timings: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Qualifications

Required

- MBA or a Master's Degree like MBE/MFC/MIB/Economics from a reputed school

- At least 6 years of work experience, including at least five years in consulting/corporate strategy or a similar function; client consulting experience in the technology space will be preferred

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking skills; outstanding analytical, research, and presentation skills

- Good data visualization skills and ability to present data analysis in intuitive graphical and tabular formats

- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience in using Generative AI Tools, experience in statistical tools (like SAS, SPSS, or R) will be an advantage

- Understanding of strategy models and frameworks

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present complex ideas succinctly to senior executives

- Exposure to working in virtual teams and experience working with US stakeholders. Since the job requires significant coordination with US colleagues, the ability to network with US counterparts is significant
