1. Property Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of the hostel, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food services, and guest facilities.
- Ensure rooms, dormitories, common areas, washrooms, and other facilities are clean, organised, and guest-ready.
- Manage check-ins, check-outs, bookings, room allocation, billing, payments, and guest records.
- Monitor inventory, supplies, operational expenses, and maintenance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with property policies, safety protocols, and operational SOPs.
- Maintain accurate daily operational and financial reports.
2. Guest Engagement & Experience
- Build meaningful relationships with guests and create a welcoming hostel environment.
- Interact with guests to understand their needs, gather feedback, and resolve concerns.
- Promote and coordinate local experiences, cultural activities, tours, and travel packages.
- Identify opportunities to improve guest satisfaction, encourage repeat visits, and build a strong community.
- Ensure guest feedback and reviews are collected consistently across relevant platforms.
3. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Take ownership of revenue generation through accommodation upselling, experience sales, travel packages, and other in-house offerings.
- Engage with guests proactively to understand their interests and recommend suitable paid experiences and services.
- Monitor occupancy, room pricing, booking channels, and daily revenue performance.
- Identify opportunities for group bookings, corporate stays, travel partnerships, and other business collaborations.
- Track sales leads, follow-ups, conversions, and revenue against assigned targets.
- Work towards improving occupancy, average revenue per guest,
and overall property profitability.
4. Quality of Service
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, hospitality, and service delivery.
- Conduct regular property inspections and ensure timely resolution of maintenance and housekeeping issues.
- Monitor guest reviews and feedback to identify recurring problems and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure a safe, respectful, inclusive, and comfortable environment for all guests.
- Maintain consistent service standards through checklists, SOPs, and regular quality audits.
5. Team Management
- Supervise and coordinate front desk, housekeeping, kitchen, caretaking, and other operational staff.
- Plan duty rosters, shifts, handovers, and weekly offs to ensure smooth operations.
- Set explicit responsibilities, daily priorities, and performance expectations for team members.
- Conduct team briefings, monitor attendance, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Train and mentor team members in hospitality, guest handling, sales, and operational procedures.
- Address performance gaps, workplace conflicts, and staffing issues professionally.
6. Decision-Making & Problem-Solving
- Take ownership of day-to-day operational decisions and resolve issues promptly.
- Handle guest complaints, booking disputes, emergencies,
and service failures with professionalism.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical solutions to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Escalate major financial, safety, or policy-related matters to management when required.
- Analyse daily performance and proactively recommend improvements in operations, guest experience, and revenue.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
