What A Story is an internationally established wedding photography and cinematography brand with over a decade of experience and more than 800 weddings captured across India and the United States. We specialize in cinematic wedding films and timeless photography built around emotion, authenticity, and storytelling - because every wedding, whether an intimate backyard ceremony or a grand multi-day destination affair, deserves to be remembered as its own story. We bring together creativity, technical craft, and a deep respect for cultural tradition to give every couple a visual experience that feels entirely theirs.

The Role

We're looking for a Wedding Cinematographer to join our team and help us tell wedding stories on film the way we believe they deserve to be told - cinematic, emotional and true to the couple. You'll work across ceremonies, receptions and everything in between, working closely with couples, families, and our internal team to deliver films that feel personal, not like a template.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

- Filming weddings and related events (engagements, receptions, pre-wedding shoots) with a cinematic, storytelling-first approach.
- Capturing candid, authentic moments alongside key planned shots (vows, speeches, first dance, etc.)
- Operating multicam setups and coordinating with other shooters during live moments




- Collaborating with couples ahead of time to understand their story, culture, and vision for the day
- Working alongside photographers and coordinators on multi-day or multi-shooter events
- Managing and backing up footage on-site to ensure nothing is lost
- Contributing creative input during planning - shot lists, timelines, styling, and shot coverage
- Traveling for destination weddings as needed

Who You Are

- You have solid experience filming weddings (or comparable events) - a reel is a must
- You know your gear inside and out - cameras, gimbals, audio setup - and can adapt rapid when lighting, weather, or timelines shift
- You have a genuine eye for framing, movement, and pacing - not just technically correct footage
- You've worked with diverse cultural wedding traditions, or you're eager to learn how to film them respectfully
- You're calm under pressure - weddings don't pause for retakes
- You communicate well with couples, families, and vendors, and represent our brand professionally on-site
- You're comfortable traveling for multi-day or destination events
- Bonus: experience with editing and color grading (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve), drone operation, or multicam audio sync
