Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced ETP Site In-Charge to manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) at our Hubli site. The person will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and uninterrupted plant operations, effective manpower management, statutory compliance, preventive maintenance and client coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. ETP Operations

- Manage day-to-day operation of the ETP and associated treatment systems.
- Monitor plant parameters and ensure treated water meets required quality standards.
- Supervise chemical dosing, sludge handling, filtration and other treatment processes.
- Monitor equipment such as pumps, blowers, agitators, clarifiers, filters and dosing systems.
- Identify operational issues and take timely corrective action.

2. MEE / ZLD Operations

- Coordinate and supervise MEE/ZLD operations, wherever applicable.
- Monitor evaporation systems, condensate quality and salt/sludge handling.
- Ensure efficient operation and minimize water, chemical and energy consumption.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for equipment breakdowns and preventive maintenance.

3. Manpower Management

- Supervise operators, technicians, helpers and shift personnel.
- Prepare duty rosters and shift schedules.
- Monitor attendance, discipline and work performance.
- Train employees on plant operations, safety procedures and SOPs.
- Ensure adequate manpower availability for all shifts.

4. Maintenance Coordination





- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Maintain equipment inspection and maintenance records.
- Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend corrective measures.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical and instrumentation teams.

5. Quality & Compliance

- Monitor inlet and outlet water quality parameters.
- Maintain daily operational logs, laboratory records and compliance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental and safety requirements.
- Support statutory inspections, audits and client requirements.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of sludge and other process waste.

6. Client Coordination

- Coordinate with the client/site representative regarding plant operations and performance.
- Attend operational issues and complaints promptly.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly plant performance reports.
- Participate in review meetings and provide operational updates.

7. Safety

- Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness activities.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all employees.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents and near-miss events immediately.

Required Qualification

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Environmental Engineering,



Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Relevant experience in ETP/STP/MEE/ZLD operations and maintenance.

Experience

5–8 years of relevant experience in ETP/STP/MEE/ZLD operations, preferably in industrial wastewater treatment plants.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of ETP operations and wastewater treatment processes.
- Knowledge of MEE/ZLD systems will be an advantage.
- Manpower and shift management.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance and safety practices.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently at a site location.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
