Minimum Qualifications & Experience

- Ph.D. in Law from a recognized university.
- Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M.) is mandatory.
- Minimum 14–15 years of experience in teaching, research, academic administration, or leadership roles in reputed universities/law institutions.
- Strong academic and research record with publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals, books/book chapters, conferences, research projects, and other scholarly contributions.
- Proven experience in academic leadership, curriculum development, faculty management, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and institutional development.
- Sound knowledge of legal education standards, contemporary developments in law, and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates must fulfill UGC/BCI norms and other applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide overall academic and administrative leadership to the School of Law.
- Develop and implement strategies to strengthen academic excellence, legal research, innovation, student outcomes, and institutional growth.
- Oversee the effective delivery and development of law programmes, including LL.B., B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., B.Com. LL.B., LL.M., and other programmes offered by the School.
- Lead curriculum design, revision, and implementation in accordance with UGC, Bar Council of India (BCI), university regulations, and emerging developments in the legal profession.
- Ensure high standards of teaching, learning outcomes, research, clinical legal education, and student development.
- Lead faculty recruitment, mentoring, workload allocation, performance evaluation, and professional development.
- Promote a strong research culture through publications, funded projects, books,



policy research, conferences, consultancy, and interdisciplinary research initiatives.
- Oversee regulatory compliance, inspections, documentation, and quality assurance processes related to BCI, UGC, NAAC, NIRF, and other applicable bodies/frameworks.
- Strengthen Moot Court, Legal Aid Clinic, ADR/Mediation activities, internships, court visits, legal awareness programmes, and practical legal training.
- Establish collaborations with law firms, advocates, courts, corporate legal departments, government bodies, NGOs, research institutions, and other universities.
- Facilitate internships, placement opportunities, judicial and competitive examination guidance, and career development initiatives for students.
- Organize moot court competitions, seminars, conferences, workshops, guest lectures, faculty development programmes, legal awareness camps, and national/international academic events.
- Encourage students to participate in moot courts, debates, client counselling, mediation, legal research, drafting, and other co-curricular activities.
- Represent the School of Law in university committees, academic councils, regulatory interactions, professional forums, and external academic engagements.
- Ensure effective academic planning, departmental budgeting, resource utilization, documentation, and overall administration of the School.

Desirable Qualifications & Skills

- Solid understanding of legal education, academic governance, outcome-based education,



quality assurance, accreditation, and regulatory frameworks.
- Expertise in one or more contemporary areas such as Constitutional Law, Corporate Law, Criminal Law, Cyber Law, Intellectual Property Rights, International Law, Human Rights, Arbitration & ADR, or emerging technology-related laws.
- Strong knowledge of BCI regulations and compliance requirements for legal education.
- Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, interpersonal, and team-management abilities.
- Ability to develop partnerships with the legal profession, judiciary, industry, government agencies, and academic institutions.
- Ability to attract research projects, consultancy assignments, academic collaborations, and institutional partnerships.
- Experience with academic ERP systems, LMS platforms, research databases, and digital learning tools.
- Demonstrated ability to promote research, experiential learning, professional ethics, advocacy skills, innovation, and student-centric academic initiatives.

Pay Scale

₹60,000 – ₹1,00,000 per month
(Commensurate with qualifications, experience, academic credentials, and leadership capabilities)
