About the Role

Akiko Sherman Infotech Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong exposure to Government / PSU / Public Sector IT projects and a positive understanding of software solutions, presales and business development.

The ideal candidate should be capable of understanding government requirements, analysing RFPs/tenders, interacting with government stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical requirements, and supporting the sales/presales team in developing winning IT solutions and proposals.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyse Government RFPs, tenders, RFQs and EOI documents to understand business, functional and technical requirements.
- Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, discovery workshops and stakeholder discussions with Government departments, PSUs and public-sector organisations.
- Translate business requirements into BRDs, FRDs, SRS, user stories, process flows, use cases and functional specifications.
- Work closely with Sales, Presales, Solution Architects, Project Managers and Development teams to design appropriate IT/software solutions.
- Support the sales team throughout the complete presales lifecycle, from opportunity identification and requirement analysis to proposal submission and client presentations.
- Prepare and review technical proposals, solution documents, compliance matrices, scope of work, presentations and RFP responses.
- Map client requirements with proposed software solutions and identify gaps, dependencies, assumptions and risks.
- Participate in client meetings, solution discussions, product demonstrations and technical presentations.
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure that proposed solutions are feasible, scalable and aligned with client requirements.
- Understand and analyse commercial, technical and functional evaluation criteria mentioned in government tenders.
- Support preparation of bid responses, QCBS/L1-related documentation and tender compliance matrices.
- Track changes in client requirements and ensure proper documentation and communication across internal teams.




- Assist Project Managers during transition from presales to project implementation.
- Conduct requirement validation, UAT support and stakeholder sign-offs wherever required.
- Maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders and understand their evolving technology requirements.
- Work on multiple government opportunities/projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery of proposals and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst / Presales Business Analyst / IT Consultant.
- Mandatory experience working on Government / PSU / Public Sector IT projects.
- Strong understanding of IT software solutions and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience in RFP/Tender analysis and government bid management.
- Strong requirement-gathering and business process analysis skills.
- Experience preparing BRD, FRD, SRS, user stories, use cases, process flows and requirement specifications.
- Good understanding of ERP, e-Governance, workflow automation, enterprise applications or digital transformation solutions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including Sales, Presales, Technology, Development and Project Management.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills.
- Ability to understand complex business requirements and convert them into practical technology solutions.
- Ability to analyse tender eligibility, technical specifications and compliance requirements.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred / Good to Have

- Experience with Central Government / State Government / PSU / NIC / NICSI / GeM-related projects.
- Exposure to e-Governance and Digital Transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of ERP, Cloud, Cybersecurity, AI/GenAI or enterprise software solutions.
- Experience with QCBS, L1 and government procurement processes.
- Experience in software product/service sales or IT consulting/presales.
- Exposure to ISO/CMMI-driven project environments.
