Key Responsibilities

- Manage and administer Oracle databases across on-premises and OCI environments.
- Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
- Design and manage Oracle databases on OCI, including appropriate compute, storage, networking, and database services.
- Work with OCI services such as OCI Compute, Object Storage, VCN, Load Balancer, IAM, Monitoring, Logging, and related services.
- Support database migration and modernization initiatives from on-premises to OCI.
- Develop and optimize SQL, PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and queries.
- Perform SQL and database performance tuning using execution plans, indexing, partitioning, and other optimization techniques.
- Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions such as RAC, Data Guard, and backup/recovery strategies.
- Monitor database health, capacity, performance,



and availability and proactively resolve issues.
- Implement database security, access controls, encryption, auditing, and compliance requirements.
- Automate routine DBA activities using Shell scripting, Python, or OCI automation tools.
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Collaborate with application, data engineering, cloud, and infrastructure teams to support end-to-end solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and database architecture/design documents.
