Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer – Civil to ensure that all civil construction activities are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements. The candidate will be responsible for inspection, testing, documentation, quality control, and coordination with site execution and consultant teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and inspect civil construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct inspections for RCC, reinforcement, shuttering/formwork, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, excavation, backfilling, and other civil works.
- Check reinforcement diameter, spacing, lap length, cover, bar bending, and placement as per approved drawings.
- Inspect shuttering/formwork for line, level, dimensions, alignment, stability, and cleanliness before concrete pouring.
- Conduct and monitor concrete quality tests, including slump test, cube casting, and temperature checks.
- Coordinate with laboratory/testing agencies for material and concrete testing.
- Inspect incoming construction materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, bricks/blocks, admixtures, and other materials.
- Maintain Material Inspection Reports (MIR), Inspection Requests (IR), Site Inspection Reports (SIR), and Test Reports.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, checklists, inspection records,



and test registers.
- Ensure proper implementation of ITP (Inspection & Test Plan), Method Statements, and Quality Control Plans.
- Identify non-conformities and coordinate for corrective and preventive actions.
- Raise and close NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) in coordination with the execution team.
- Monitor quality at different stages of construction and ensure rectification of defective work.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, Consultants, and Client Representatives for inspections and approvals.
- Verify that construction work is carried out according to approved BOQ, drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Maintain records of concrete pours, cube test results, material approvals, and inspection clearances.
- Assist in preparation of quality reports, monthly quality reports, and project documentation.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and quality standards are maintained at the construction site.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IS Codes and project-specific quality requirements.

Required Technical Knowledge

- RCC and structural concrete works
- Reinforcement and bar bending schedule (BBS)
- Formwork/shuttering inspection
- Concrete testing and quality control




- Soil compaction and field density testing
- Masonry and plastering works
- Waterproofing works
- Material inspection and testing
- ITP and Method Statement
- NCR/CAR preparation and closure
- QA/QC documentation
- Knowledge of relevant IS Codes and project specifications
- AutoCAD knowledge will be an added advantage
- MS Excel and MS Office

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in building construction, industrial projects, infrastructure projects, power projects, solar projects, or other civil construction projects will be preferred.
