Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Billing / Sales Manager (Counter) to manage our counter sales and billing operations.

The candidate will handle walk-in/customer orders, product enquiries, order processing, billing, coordination with Stores and dispatch, while ensuring excellent customer service and smooth day-to-day counter operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily counter sales and billing operations.
- Handle customers visiting the counter and understand their product requirements.
- Take orders for IVD instruments, reagents, diagnostic kits, consumables and accessories.
- Provide customers with product availability, pricing and basic product-related information.
- Prepare quotations and sales orders as required.
- Generate accurate sales invoices, delivery challans, credit notes and other billing documents.
- Verify customer details, GST information, rates, discounts and applicable taxes before billing.
- Coordinate with Stores to check stock availability, batch/lot numbers and expiry dates of reagents and kits.
- Coordinate with Logistics/Dispatch for timely delivery of customer orders.
- Coordinate with Sales Team for customer requirements, special pricing and order-related matters.
- Maintain proper records of counter sales, orders, invoices and pending requirements.
- Handle customer queries related to billing, products, availability and order status.
- Follow up on pending orders and ensure timely processing.
- Coordinate with Accounts regarding billing corrections, credit/debit notes and other billing-related issues.
- Maintain accurate entries in Tally/ERP/software.
- Supervise and guide junior counter/billing staff.
- Ensure proper handover of orders and documents between Counter Sales, Stores and Accounts.
- Maintain a clean, organized and professional counter/customer area.
- Ensure compliance with company billing and sales procedures.





Product Knowledge – Preferred

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of billing and counter sales operations.
- Good knowledge of Tally/ERP and MS Excel.
- Basic understanding of GST, HSN and invoicing.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Strong product and order understanding.
- Good coordination with Sales, Stores, Accounts and Dispatch teams.
- Ability to handle multiple customers and orders simultaneously.
- Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Team handling and supervisory skills.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced counter-sales environment.

Candidate Profile

- Graduate in Life Sciences / Biology / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc. / BMLT) or equivalent.
- Candidates with a B.Sc. in Biology or other relevant life-science subjects will be preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in billing, counter sales or sales coordination.
- Experience in IVD, diagnostic, medical equipment, pharmaceutical or healthcare distribution will be preferred.
- Experience handling reagents, diagnostic kits and laboratory products will be an added advantage.
- Should be confident in dealing directly with customers.
- Should be capable of independently managing the counter sales and billing function.
- Candidates with experience in IVD, diagnostic products, laboratory instruments, reagents and diagnostic kits will be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of billing, GST, Tally/ERP and MS Excel will be an added advantage.
- Strong product understanding and customer-handling skills are required.

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
