Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies before surgery.
- Perform surgical hand scrub and maintain strict aseptic/sterile technique.
- Arrange and check instruments, sutures, sponges, and other surgical supplies.
- Assist the surgeon by passing instruments, sutures, and other required materials during the procedure.
- Anticipate the surgeon's needs and provide appropriate instruments promptly.
- Maintain the sterile field throughout the operation.
- Perform accurate counts of instruments, needles, sponges, and other surgical items before, during, and after surgery.
- Monitor and report any break in sterile technique.
- Assist with specimen handling, labeling, and transfer according to hospital policy.
- Ensure surgical instruments and equipment are properly handled and sent for sterilization after the procedure.
- Follow infection-control, occupational-safety, and hospital protocols.
- Work closely with surgeons, anesthetists, circulating nurses, and other members of the operating-room team.
- Assist with preparing the patient and operating site as required.
- Document relevant surgical and nursing activities accurately.




- Participate in emergency and complex surgical procedures when required.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc. Nursing.
- Valid nursing registration with the appropriate nursing council.
- Experience in operating-room/surgical nursing is preferred.
- Good knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instruments, infection control, and patient safety.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
