Job Summary
We are looking for a caring, responsible, enthusiastic, and well-qualified Mother Teacher for our Cambridge Board section. The candidate will be responsible for the overall academic, emotional, social, and classroom development of students.
The Mother Teacher will manage the classroom effectively, deliver engaging lessons, maintain student records, communicate with parents, and work closely with the academic team to ensure a positive and child-friendly learning environment.
Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons as per the Cambridge curriculum.
- Prepare daily and weekly lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Use interactive, creative, and activity-based teaching methodologies.
- Ensure effective implementation of the prescribed curriculum and learning objectives.
- Encourage students to participate actively in classroom discussions and activities.
- Use stories, activities, games, worksheets, projects, and practical learning methods.
- Adapt teaching strategies according to individual students' learning abilities.
- Promote conceptual understanding rather than rote learning.
- Regularly assess students' academic progress and provide appropriate support.
2. Classroom Management
- Maintain a safe, disciplined, positive, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Establish appropriate classroom routines and behavioural expectations.
- Monitor student attendance, punctuality, participation, and overall behaviour.
- Ensure proper seating arrangements and classroom organization.
- Encourage students to maintain cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Handle minor classroom concerns patiently and professionally.
- Ensure students are supervised properly during classroom activities and transitions.
3. Student Development
- Focus on the overall development of each child, including academic, social, emotional, and communication skills.
- Identify students who require additional academic or behavioural support.
- Encourage confidence, creativity, teamwork, communication, and independent thinking.
- Develop good habits, manners, discipline, and a sense of responsibility among students.
- Support students in developing age-appropriate life skills.
- Provide individual attention to students wherever required.
4. Assessment & Documentation
- Conduct regular classwork, activities, assessments, and evaluations.
- Maintain accurate student academic records and progress reports.
- Prepare worksheets, assignments, projects, and assessment materials.
- Track individual student performance and learning progress.
- Provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Complete all required academic documentation within the given timelines.
- Maintain records as required by the school and Cambridge academic guidelines.
5. Parent Communication
- Maintain professional and positive communication with parents.
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings as scheduled by the school.
- Discuss students' academic performance, behaviour, attendance, and overall development.
- Address parent concerns politely and professionally.
- Keep parents informed about significant classroom activities, assignments, projects, and events.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student and family information.
6. Co-Curricular Activities
- Participate actively in school events, celebrations, assemblies, competitions, and educational activities.
- Organize and support classroom-based activities and projects.
- Encourage students to participate in sports, art, music, storytelling, presentations, and other activities.
- Support field trips, educational visits, and special school programmes.
- Assist in preparing students for school functions and Cambridge-related activities.
7. Coordination & Teamwork
- Coordinate with the Academic Coordinator, Section Head, Principal, and fellow teachers.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, workshops, and professional development programmes.
- Follow all academic and administrative instructions issued by the school.
- Share student-related observations and concerns with the appropriate academic authority.
- Work collaboratively with subject teachers, activity teachers, and support staff.
- Maintain professional conduct and positive relationships with colleagues.
8. Student Safety & Well-Being
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during school hours.
- Follow all school safety,
child protection, and safeguarding policies.
- Immediately report any accident, injury, bullying, or responsible behavioural concern to the concerned authority.
- Never use physical punishment or inappropriate disciplinary methods.
- Maintain a caring and respectful approach towards every student.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. / D.El.Ed. / ECCE / NTT / Montessori qualification will be preferred, depending on the grade level.
- Knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum and teaching methodology will be an advantage.
- Good command of English communication is essential.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a reputed school is preferred.
- Candidates with Cambridge Board / International School experience will be given preference.
- Experience as a Mother Teacher / Primary Teacher / Class Teacher will be an added advantage.
- Fresh candidates with excellent communication skills and relevant qualifications may also be considered.

Working Hours
Monday to Saturday: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Working hours may vary on examination days, school events, parent meetings, training programmes, or other special academic activities as per school requirements.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be confident, patient, well-presented, responsible, and passionate about working with children. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive classroom environment.
Preference: Candidates with Cambridge Board / International School experience and strong English communication skills will be preferred.
Pay: Up to ₹22,000.00 per month
