1. Machine Reliability & Preventive Maintenance

- Take overall ownership of maintenance for 500+ sewing machines, cutting machines and other garment machinery.
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure maximum machine availability and minimum breakdown time.
- Monitor MTBF, MTTR, breakdown frequency and machine availability.
- Identify recurring breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Ensure critical spare parts are available and properly controlled.

2. Breakdown Management & Production Support

- Ensure quick response to machine breakdowns and minimize production interruptions.
- Establish an effective breakdown escalation and response system.
- Prioritize breakdowns based on production criticality.
- Coordinate with Production, IE and Quality teams to resolve machine-related issues.
- Analyse daily/monthly breakdown reports and take corrective action.
- Ensure machines are properly set and handed over to production after maintenance.

3. Maintenance Team Management & Productivity

- Lead and manage the maintenance team, including mechanics, electricians and technicians.
- Plan manpower deployment according to shifts and production requirements.
- Define responsibilities, targets and KPIs for individual maintenance team members.
- Develop technicians through skill training, multi-skilling and machine-specific competency development.
- Monitor team productivity, discipline, attendance and response time.




- Establish shift-wise maintenance coverage to support uninterrupted production.

4. Machine Efficiency, Cost Control & Improvement

- Monitor the maintenance cost per machine and control unnecessary repair and spare-part expenses.
- Analyse machine performance and recommend replacement, refurbishment or technology upgrades.
- Maintain an accurate machine master database covering age, condition, maintenance history and criticality.
- Reduce recurring repair costs through root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Work with suppliers/service providers for AMC, repairs, technical support and machine procurement.
- Ensure proper control of maintenance spares, tools and consumables.

5. Safety, Utilities & Compliance

- Ensure all machines have required guards, safety devices and electrical protections.
- Conduct regular machine safety inspections and close maintenance-related audit observations.
- Ensure protected maintenance practices, including LOTO where applicable.
- Manage maintenance of supporting utilities such as compressors, boilers, generators, electrical systems, HVAC and other garment-unit utilities, as applicable.
- Maintain all statutory, safety and maintenance records.
- Support customer/social compliance audits and ensure timely closure of maintenance-related findings.

Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
