Roles & Responsibilities

- Read and work from single line diagrams (SLDs), layout and schematic drawings
- Supervise erection of switchyard equipment: circuit breakers, isolators, CTs, PTs, lightning arresters and gantry structures
- Oversee busbar stringing, control cable laying and termination, and control & relay panel installation
- Supervise earthing mat and lightning protection work
- Carry out pre-commissioning tests (IR, contact resistance, CT/PT ratio & polarity, breaker timing) and prepare test reports
- Coordinate inspections and joint testing with TANTRANSCO / TANGEDCO engineers
- Record measurements for client verification and running bills
- Maintain material receipt, issue and reconciliation records
- Supervise subcontractors and labour gangs, and submit daily progress reports
- Enforce site safety: PPE, permit-to-work, work at height and lockout/tagout




- Coordinate with the civil team and the Project Manager on schedule and material needs

Experience & Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech in EEE with 1–5 years of experience in substation or transmission EPC work (Diploma EEE with 3+ years also considered)
- Site experience at 33 kV and above; 110 kV / 230 kV experience preferred
- Hands-on testing and commissioning experience
- Experience on TANTRANSCO / TANGEDCO projects preferred
- Fluent in Tamil, working knowledge of English
- Electrical Supervisor Competency Certificate (Tamil Nadu Electrical Licensing Board) preferred

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
