An assembly fitter builds, aligns, and tests mechanical machinery and equipment using technical drawings and specialized tools .

Key Responsibilities

- Read Blueprints: Study engineering drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOM) to plan the assembly process.
- Mechanical Assembly: Fit and join mechanical components, shafts, bearings, gears, and conveyors into complete units or subassemblies.
- Alignment and Fitting: Perform drilling, tapping, filing, and grinding while checking tolerances with exact measuring instruments like Vernier calipers.
- Testing and Inspection: Run trial tests on assembled machinery to detect abnormal noise, vibration, or alignment errors before dispatch.
- Maintenance and Repair: Troubleshoot mechanical or pneumatic faults, replace defective parts, and report recurring issues to supervisors.
- Safety and Compliance:



Maintain a clean workspace and follow standard safety protocols, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements and Qualifications

- Education: ITI or Diploma in Fitter, Mechanical, or a related trade.
- Experience: 1 to 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial equipment or machine manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with hand and power tools, reading technical blueprints, and basic pneumatic or electrical troubleshooting.
- Soft Skills: Strong physical stamina, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
