Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead and supervise storm water drain and drainage infrastructure works at a government project site.

The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in storm water drainage, underground drainage, RCC drains, roadside drains, excavation, earthwork and civil infrastructure projects, along with the ability to manage site execution, manpower, subcontractors and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise day-to-day civil and storm water drainage construction activities.
- Manage site execution as per approved drawings, BOQ, specifications and project schedule.
- Supervise excavation, earthwork, PCC, RCC, masonry and other drainage-related works.
- Execute and monitor RCC drains, box drains, open drains and underground drainage lines.
- Check and maintain proper line, level, alignment, slope and dimensions as per drawings.
- Review and interpret civil drawings, BOQ and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, site engineers, supervisors, surveyors and workers.
- Plan and monitor daily manpower, materials, machinery and site requirements.
- Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Verify site measurements, quantities and maintain proper measurement records.
- Prepare daily, weekly and progress reports for project management.
- Monitor quality of materials and workmanship as per project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and site regulations.




- Coordinate with government officials, consultants and client representatives.
- Identify technical and site-related issues and coordinate for timely resolution.
- Monitor subcontractor work and ensure execution as per approved specifications.
- Maintain proper site documentation, work records and project reports.
- Support project planning, execution and resource management.
- Guide junior engineers, supervisors and site teams for proper execution.
- Ensure project activities are completed within the required timeline and safety standards.

Required Skills

- Solid experience in storm water drain / drainage / infrastructure projects.
- Good knowledge of excavation, earthwork, PCC, RCC and masonry works.
- Strong understanding of line, level, alignment and slope.
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, BOQ and specifications.
- Experience in manpower and subcontractor management.
- Knowledge of site measurements and quantity calculations.
- Knowledge of Auto Level / Total Station is an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and site documentation.
- Strong site coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work at government project sites and relocate/stay at the project location.
