Job Summary

The WebMethods / Integration L2 Engineer is responsible for supporting, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise integration platforms built on Software AG WebMethods. The engineer ensures the availability, performance, and reliability of critical business integrations between applications, databases, cloud services, ERPs, and third-party systems. The role includes incident management, integration troubleshooting, middleware administration, deployment support, interface monitoring, and collaboration with application and infrastructure teams to resolve integration-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Integration Operations & Support Monitor and support WebMethods integration services in production and non-production environments. Troubleshoot failed transactions, interface issues, service failures, and message delivery problems. Analyze logs and error messages to identify root causes. Ensure platform availability and operational stability. WebMethods Administration Support and administer: Integration Server (IS) Universal Messaging (UM) Broker (where applicable) Trading Networks (TN) My WebMethods Server (MWS) ActiveTransfer API Gateway Manage package deployments and configuration changes. Support server startup, shutdown, patching, and upgrades. Incident & Problem Management Resolve L2 incidents within agreed service levels. Diagnose and troubleshoot integration performance issues. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents. Coordinate with application owners, developers, and infrastructure teams. Interface Monitoring Monitor business-critical interfaces and message flows. Track queues, scheduled jobs, triggers, and transactions. Validate successful processing of inbound and outbound integrations. Ensure timely resolution of integration failures. Deployment & Release Support Support deployment of WebMethods packages and configurations.



Validate deployments and post-implementation health checks. Participate in change and release management activities. Ensure compliance with deployment standards. Performance & Capacity Management Monitor system performance and resource utilization. Identify bottlenecks affecting message processing. Support platform tuning and optimization activities. Provide recommendations for capacity planning. Security & Compliance Manage certificates, security configurations, and user access. Support authentication and authorization mechanisms. Maintain compliance with organizational security standards. Ensure audit readiness and documentation maintenance. Documentation & Knowledge Management Maintain operational procedures and runbooks. Document issue resolutions and workarounds. Contribute to knowledge repositories and SOP updates.
