Job Summary

We are looking for a Purchase Engineer with experience in the CNC production / machine-shop manufacturing industry.

The candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end purchase activities, including material sourcing, supplier coordination, vendor development, quotation comparison, negotiation, purchase orders, follow-up and timely procurement of materials required for CNC production.

Candidates with experience specifically in CNC, machine-shop or manufacturing industries will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle complete A to Z purchase activities for CNC production and machine-shop requirements.
- Source materials, components, consumables, tools, spares and other production-related items.
- Identify and develop current vendors based on company requirements.
- Handle vendor development and vendor management.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and other commercial terms.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with production, stores, quality and other departments regarding material requirements.
- Monitor purchase requirements and maintain proper procurement schedules.




- Ensure materials are purchased according to required specifications, quality and quantity.
- Maintain supplier records, quotations, purchase orders and related documentation.
- Evaluate vendor performance related to quality, cost and delivery.
- Resolve vendor-related issues and coordinate for timely corrective action.
- Support cost reduction and alternate vendor development initiatives.
- Ensure uninterrupted material availability for CNC production.

Must-Have Skills

- 1–2 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement.
- Experience in CNC production / machine shop / manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Good knowledge of end-to-end purchase processes.
- Vendor development and vendor coordination experience.
- Strong negotiation and follow-up skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to independently handle purchase activities.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel and purchase documentation.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Candidates from CNC manufacturing, machine-shop or engineering production companies are preferred.
- Candidates with experience handling production-related materials and components will be given preference.
- Immediate Joiners are highly preferred.
