Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Studies Teacher for the Secondary Section . The candidate should have strong subject knowledge and a thorough understanding of the ICSE curriculum and examination pattern. The ideal candidate should be able to prepare students effectively for board examinations while developing their analytical, research and critical-thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Social Studies/Social Science for Secondary Section as per the ICSE curriculum.
- Handle subjects such as History, Civics and Geography as applicable to the assigned classes.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans aligned with the ICSE syllabus and academic calendar.
- Prepare students for ICSE board examinations, including revision, practice papers and examination-oriented preparation.
- Conduct regular tests, assessments, worksheets and assignments to monitor student progress.
- Analyse students' performance and provide appropriate academic support and feedback.
- Use interactive, activity-based and technology-enabled teaching methods.
- Develop students' analytical, critical-thinking, writing and map-reading skills.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments and academic performance.




- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate students' academic progress when required.
- Contribute to school events, projects, competitions and co-curricular activities.
- Coordinate with the academic team and other teachers for effective curriculum implementation.

Candidate Requirements

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Social Science or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. is mandatory/preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in the Secondary Section.
- ICSE teaching experience will be strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the ICSE syllabus, curriculum and examination pattern.
- Excellent English communication and written skills.
- Solid classroom management and student-handling skills.
- Ability to prepare students for board-level examinations.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and technology for teaching.
- Passionate, responsible, well-organised and student-oriented.
