Import Executive – Freight Forwarding & Import Operations

Location: Delhi
Salary: ₹30,000–₹40,000 per month
Experience: 4–5 Years

We are looking for an Import Executive with practical experience in freight forwarding, import documentation, customs clearance and basic import accounting/costing.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate import shipments with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, CHA and transporters.
- Track shipments and maintain ETD, ETA, vessel/flight and clearance status.
- Handle and verify import documents including BL/AWB, Invoice, Packing List, COO, Phytosanitary Certificate, etc.
- Coordinate with CHA for Bill of Entry, customs clearance, FSSAI and Plant Quarantine requirements.
- Obtain/check freight rates and coordinate shipment bookings.
- Monitor DO, detention, demurrage, storage and transportation charges.
- Verify freight, CHA, shipping line and transportation invoices against agreed rates.
- Assist in shipment-wise costing, landed cost and import expense reconciliation.
- Coordinate with Accounts for supplier/service-provider payments and payment tracking.
- Maintain shipment trackers,



records and regular MIS in Excel/ERP.

Candidate Requirements

- 4–5 years' experience in Import Operations / Freight Forwarding / International Logistics.
- Good knowledge of ocean/air freight, import documentation and customs clearance.
- Basic understanding of import costing and accounting.
- Good command of MS Excel and strong follow-up skills.
- Experience with fresh fruits, food imports, reefer/perishable cargo will be preferred.
