A freight forwarder plans, coordinates, and tracks the secure and efficient transportation of goods across national and international networks

Responsibilities

- Transport Coordination: Plan optimal shipping routes and schedule multi-modal transport (truck, rail, air, and sea) based on client budgets and cargo requirements.
- Rate Negotiation: Negotiate competitive freight rates, storage fees, and service agreements with carriers and global partners.
- Documentation Management: Prepare and process critical shipping paperwork, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
- Customs Compliance: Coordinate import and export customs clearance procedures to ensure adherence to local and international trade laws.
- Shipment Tracking: Monitor cargo movement across the supply chain, providing regular status updates to clients and resolving any delays, damages, or transit discrepancies.
