CSSD Technician

Malar Hospital, Hosur is looking for a skilled and responsible CSSD Technician to join our Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD).

Job Responsibilities

- Receive, clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, pack, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment such as autoclaves.
- Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of instruments as per hospital protocols.
- Prepare and issue sterile instruments, packs, and supplies to OT and other clinical departments.
- Maintain proper records of sterilization cycles, biological/chemical indicators, and equipment checks.
- Perform regular monitoring and documentation of sterilization processes.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of sterile items.
- Maintain CSSD cleanliness, infection-control, and safety standards.
- Follow hospital infection-control policies and NABH standards.
- Coordinate with OT, nursing, and other departments for timely supply of sterile materials.
- Report equipment malfunction, sterilization failures,



or shortages to the concerned In-charge.
- Maintain proper documentation and inventory of CSSD supplies.

Qualifications

- DMLT / CSSD Technician Course / Diploma in CSSD Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant CSSD experience will be an advantage.
- Freshers may also apply.
- Basic knowledge of sterilization and infection-control practices.
- Willingness to work in shifts.

Salary
