About the Role

We are seeking a highly accomplished and visionary leader to head our Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC). The role demands a seasoned professional with deep expertise in financial services, regulatory frameworks, lending products, and operational excellence. The Head - NBFC will be responsible for driving business growth involving both the lending and borrowing functions of the company, profitability, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building a high-performing team while upholding solid governance and risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the NBFC in alignment with the group’s vision. Drive innovation in financial products, borrowing, lending models, and customer acquisition. Develop and scale business lines such as retail lending, corporate loans, gold loans, loan against property or digital lending as per strategy. Establish partnerships with fintechs, banks, and other financial institutions to enhance offerings. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

Ensure full compliance with RBI, SEBI, and other statutory guidelines applicable to NBFCs. Act as the principal point of contact with regulators and auditors. Implement best-in-class governance and reporting structures. Financial & Operational Management





Own the P&L; responsibility of the NBFC and ensure profitability and sustainable growth. Build robust credit, risk management, and underwriting frameworks. Oversee treasury, ALM (Asset Liability Management), and funding strategies. Monitor operational efficiency, digitisation, and cost optimization.

People & Culture Leadership

Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing leadership team across risk, finance, sales, and operations. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer centricity. Champion diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement initiatives.

Key Requirements

Education: CA / MBA / CFA or equivalent professional qualification in finance, business, or economics.

Experience:

10+ years of progressive experience in a NBFC. At least 3+ years in a senior role. Proven track record in scaling businesses (retail / corporate / digital).

Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of RBI regulations, credit policies, and compliance requirements. Expertise in risk management, treasury, and financial structuring. Strong grasp of digital lending platforms and emerging fintech trends

Leadership Skills:

Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, and execution capabilities. Strong stakeholder management (regulators, investors, partners, and board). Inspirational leadership with the ability to drive change and transformation
