Title: Team Lead (Java) Location: Noida, India ROLE SUMMARY AND OVERVIEW The Team Lead (Java) is responsible for designing, implementing, delivering, and installing high-quality enterprise software solutions utilizing Java, J2EE, SQL/Oracle, and associated modern Java technologies. This role requires an experienced professional who can seamlessly bridge the gap between complex software engineering requirements and hands-on team leadership. The incumbent will own technical project components through the entire delivery lifecycle, safeguarding software design specifications, ensuring adherence to Newgen quality processes, and leading a high-performing engineering team toward successful execution within established timelines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Technical Architecture & Solution Design • Study client information needs, confer with users, and analyze data usage, system flows, and work processes to evaluate technical problem areas and define scalable solutions. • Oversee and ensure the thorough preparation of essential architecture blueprints, including Software Prototypes, System Architecture layouts, and detailed Software Design Documents. • Document and demonstrate functional solutions clearly by developing comprehensive flowcharts, technical layouts, diagrams, charts, and baseline system specifications. • Utilize advanced knowledge of system integration frameworks and configurable solution designs to align software capabilities with client business requirements. 2. End-to-End Development & Code Governance • Participate deeply in low-level functional design, direct code authoring, technical code walkthroughs, peer code reviews, and the compilation of code review artifacts. • Enforce strict compliance with team coding guidelines and ensure user interfaces are developed in close alignment with standard UX guidelines. • Manage core database administration tasks, demonstrating an expert understanding of tables, stored procedures, functions, complex joins, primary/unique keys, referential integrity, data normalization, and query performance tuning. • Collect, analyze,



and summarize development and service issues systematically to troubleshoot engineering bottlenecks and protect operational security. 3. Engineering Quality Assurance & Testing • Oversee and drive rigorous multi-stage validation frameworks, including the writing of detailed test plans and test cases, unit testing, system testing, negative testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support. • Conduct thorough log analysis and deep database query optimization loops to diagnose and fix application errors. • Participate in high-impact customer product demonstrations and build technical Proof of Concepts (POCs) to ensure solution alignment. • Compile final delivery and deployment documentation, including Installation/Deployment manuals, Release documents, and master technical logs. 4. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management • Coordinate and prioritize customer requests alongside other managers to maintain operational balance and ensure customer delight. • Train, mentor, motivate, and manage the day-to-day performance of a successful engineering team while proactively handling employee complaints, grievances, and attrition-related cases. • Recommend personnel management actions, including the formal hiring, termination, and skilled promotion of engineering staff.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITICAL COMPETENCIES Experience and Qualifications • 4+ years of relevant industry experience across a wide variety of software development projects. • Hands-on expertise in Core Java, JSP, Servlets, EJB, and Oracle/SQL database environments. • Deep functional knowledge of SOAP/Rest APIs, Multithreading mechanics, Web Application concepts, program logic writing, and complex Data Structures. • Advanced understanding of database management systems, system integration principles, and automated workflow tracking. • Preferred Attribute:



Technical experience or exposure within Banking retail loan systems, MSME lending frameworks, Trade Finance, or Insurance PAS domains is a distinct advantage. Educational Background • B.E. / B. Tech in Computer Science (CS) / Information Technology (IT) / MCA, M. Tech, or an equivalent technical engineering degree from a reputed institute is preferred.
