Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior SDET/QA Engineer with 6-9 years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, and quality engineering practices to join our AET Engineering team as a Sr. SDET in Hyderabad, India. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both manual and automated testing and be capable of driving quality initiatives across the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities (Duties):

- Work closely with the Lead QA to define and establish a clear roadmap for Test Automation activities supporting various product initiatives across the AET Group.
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Contribute to automation framework architecture and best practices.




- Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure automated tests are reliable, maintainable, and scalable.
- Review automation code and mentor team members on automation standards.
- Design, develop, review, and execute comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
- Validate complex business workflows across multiple applications and systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production and quality issues.
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites for web applications and APIs.
- Define and implement quality standards and testing processes.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release activities.
- Collaborate with developers to promote shift-left testing.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies and automation practices.
- Analyze test metrics and provide quality recommendations.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and automation engineers.
- Guide team members on testing techniques and automation best practices.

Qualifications:

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are those an applicant must possess to be considered a candidate for the position.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6-9 years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
- Quality-first mindset with Strong ownership and accountability
- Strong experience in both Manual and Automation Testing.
- Robust hands-on experience on test automation frameworks with Playwright preferred or selenium/cypress.
- Strong test automation experience using one of the coding languages like JavaScript, java or C#




- Experience in API testing
- Good to have experience in SQL, Database and backend testing
- Experience with GitHub or bitbucket
- Experience with CI/CD integrations
- Experience testing Web Applications, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Capable of maintaining a high energy level to handle a dynamic, fast-paced workload.
- Ability to balance quality, speed, and delivery timelines

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications are not required for an applicant to be considered a candidate for the position.

- Familiarity with the Energy Efficiency Domain or utility industry is a plus.
- Experience designing or enhancing automation frameworks.
- Experience with Page Object Model (POM) and modern test automation design patterns.
- Experience with cloud-based applications and microservices architecture.
- Exposure to performance testing tools is a plus.
- Experience working with containerized environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of security testing concepts is desirable.
- Experience in test data management and environment management.
- Experience with AI-assisted testing tools is a plus
- Exposure towards Accessibility testing is a plus
