Job Description:

Sourcing Merchandiser

Role OverviewThe Sourcing Merchandiser acts as the primary bridge between the design/buying team, manufacturing units, and raw material suppliers. You are responsible for identifying reliable vendors, negotiating costs, tracking lead times, and ensuring zero-defect material availability for bulk production.

Responsibilities

- Vendor Sourcing & Evaluation: Research, identify, and onboard reliable fabric, trim, and accessory suppliers based on cost, quality, capacity, and ethical/compliance standards.
- Costing & Price Negotiation: Analyze raw material costs, negotiate bulk pricing, payment terms, and lead times with vendors to maximize profitability.
- Sampling & Development Coordination: Source development swatches, lab dips, strike-offs, and trim samples; track sample approvals against tech packs and buyer requirements.
- Purchase Order (PO)



Management: Issue purchase orders, track raw material production milestones, and manage critical path/delivery schedules to prevent manufacturing delays.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Coordinate with internal QC teams and external labs to ensure raw materials meet physical, chemical, and aesthetic standards before bulk cutting.
- Risk & Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of key items, forecast material shortages, and resolve supply chain bottlenecks or quality rejections swiftly.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, design, logistics, and merchandising teams to align material delivery with factory floor schedules.

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
