Estimation Engineer – Job Description

Position: Estimation Engineer – Interior Projects

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Estimation Engineer to handle project estimation, quantity take-offs, costing, quotations, and material requirements for residential and commercial interior projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for interior projects.
- Study 2D drawings, 3D designs, specifications, and project requirements.
- Calculate quantities for carpentry, modular kitchen, wardrobes, ceiling, flooring, electrical, painting, glass, furniture, and other interior works.
- Prepare accurate project cost estimates based on materials, labour, and execution requirements.
- Collect and compare material rates from suppliers and vendors.
- Prepare detailed client quotations and cost sheets.
- Coordinate with designers, site engineers, project coordinators, and procurement teams.
- Verify measurements and quantities with site conditions.
- Prepare revised estimates based on design or material changes.
- Track project costs and identify variations between estimated and actual costs.
- Maintain proper records of quotations, BOQs, rate analysis, and project costing.
- Assist the management team in preparing competitive and profitable project proposals.
- Ensure estimates are prepared accurately and within project deadlines.





Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of interior construction and materials.
- Good understanding of BOQ preparation and quantity take-off.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets.
- Ability to read and understand 2D drawings and interior layouts.
- Knowledge of material rates, labour costs, and interior execution methods.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and vendor coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2Years Experience in interior estimation and costing is preferred.
- Candidates with relevant experience in residential or commercial interior projects will be given preference.
- Freshers with strong knowledge of Excel, drawings, and interior materials may also be considered.

- False ceilings

- Electrical works

- Glass and aluminium works
- Interior civil works
