Job Description

Role-Senior Finance Manager / Finance Lead

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Finance Skilled to manage the end-to-end finance and accounting function for an Australia-based business.

The ideal candidate will have strong practical experience in Australian accounting, excellent working knowledge of Xero, and the ability to independently manage accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end finance and accounting operations

- Handle/review GL, journals, bank reconciliations, Trial Balance, P&L; and Balance Sheet

- Manage AP/AR, month-end and year-end closing

- Prepare financial statements and management reports

- Manage budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

- Monitor cash flow, working capital, receivables and payables

- Analyse revenue, costs, margins and business profitability

- Support Australian payroll and BAS/IAS requirements





- Establish and strengthen finance processes and internal controls

- Coordinate with Australian accountants, tax advisers and external consultants

- Provide financial analysis and insights to senior leadership

Candidate Profile

- 8–12 years of Finance & Accounting experience

- Hands-on Australian accounting experience is mandatory

- Strong hands-on experience with Xero

- Sound understanding of Australian accounting practices and BAS/IAS

- Strong experience in month-end closing and financial reporting

- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management

- Exposure to Australian payroll

- Strong Excel and analytical skills

- Ability to independently take ownership of the finance function

Strong stakeholder communication skills

Requirements

Experience in an Australia-facing shared services, outsourced accounting, offshore finance or Australian accounting environment will be highly preferred.

Knowledge of MYOB / QuickBooks Online and exposure to Australian taxation will be an advantage.

Qualification

CA is not mandatory.

B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CA Inter / CMA or equivalent qualification, with strong relevant experience, will be considered.
