Job Summary

Key note: This role ensures that the proper activities are implemented and managed in accordance with the EU GDP/GMP requirements and/or local legislation requirements (e.g. FDA, Japanese, HPRA, etc).

The incumbent is responsible for the execution and follow-up of all customs-related controls. This includes bonded warehouse operations, Inward Processing Relief, proof of exit management and controls on day-to-day customs operations.

1. Bonded warehouse controls

- Executes, monitors and manages appropriate controls to ensure bonded warehouse compliance.
- Monthly report to Customs & Compliance management on executed controls.
- Prepares and controls yearly bonded warehouse closing report for submission to the Customs Authorities.
- Identifies and drives continuous improvement initiatives to further enhance bonded warehouse compliance.
- Product extension management for bonded warehouse eligibility.
- Domestic movement monitoring from the bonded warehouse.
- Bonded products destruction management.

2. Inward Processing Relief

- Monitors and manages IPR processes.
- Timely and compliant filing of closing declarations.
- Ensures compliance, complete and timely reporting to customs authorities on IPR processes.
- Identification of IPR process issues and address for resolutions and continuous improvement.
- Identifies recent opportunities for IPR extension and work with relevant stakeholders for IPR license extensions.

3. Proof of exit management

- Monitors proof of exit completion.
- Works with brokers, freight forwarders and customs authorities to ensure export declarations in the name of Pfizer are timely confirmed for exit.

4. Customs Reporting

- Collects and consolidates timely periodic broker reporting.
- Generates reports required by customs or other relevant authorities (e.g. valuation reports, statistical authority queries, AEO supporting data).

5. General customs controls





- Manages and runs general controls on compliance of customs operations and declarations filed.
- Master data controls on SAP GTS default data (correctness and completeness).
- Daily controls on transit movements.
- Drives Continuous Improvement initiatives based on control results.

- Quality of work and accuracy to avoid clearance delays.
- No customs or other penalties thanks to proper administration.
- Comply with defined lead-times and escalation handling in time.
- Comply with and adhere to all procedures and the Pfizer core values.
- Works according to relevant SOP’s and WI’s.
- Completes all required training in time.

Skill Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s Degree, University degree or equivalent through experience.

Preferably past work experience in Supply Chain or Logistic sector.

Proficient in English; other languages are a benefit or must depending on the geographical responsibility.

Broad PC skills are essential (MS applications Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint), profound knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
