Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor- Mechanical

Qualification: Diploma / ITI / Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 10+ years in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Role Objective

To ensure the reliable, safe and efficient functioning of plant machinery, utilities and facilities, including associated R&D;/laboratory facilities, through timely preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, inspection, repairs and coordination with maintenance service providers.

The Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the plant and associated facilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Maintenance

- Coordinate scheduled servicing, calibration and external maintenance as required.

2. Mechanical Maintenance

- Supervise day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities.
- Escalate major technical issues and equipment replacement requirements to the Plant Manager.

3. Plant, R&D; & Facility Maintenance

- Attend to maintenance requirements of plant buildings, utilities, R&D;/laboratory facilities and associated infrastructure.
- Coordinate repairs relating to plumbing, ventilation, water supply, drainage, basic civil works and other facility requirements.
- Ensure maintenance issues affecting safety, production or R&D; activities are attended to promptly.

4. Spares & Maintenance Materials

- Maintain records of critical spare parts, consumables, tools and maintenance requirements.




- Identify requirements in advance and raise requests through the appropriate process.
- Ensure availability of essential maintenance items to minimise downtime.

5. Safety & Housekeeping

- Ensure maintenance activities are carried out following safety procedures and using required PPE.
- Maintain protected and clean maintenance areas.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment defects and maintenance-related hazards to the Plant Manager.

6. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain daily maintenance records, breakdown reports, preventive maintenance schedules and equipment service records.
- Submit periodic maintenance updates to the Plant Manager covering breakdowns, pending work, spares and major maintenance requirements.
- Maintain relevant SOPs, checklists and maintenance documentation.

7. Coordination

- Coordinate with the Plant Manager and Production team for planned maintenance and breakdown work.
- Coordinate with Purchase / Stores for maintenance spares and materials.
- Coordinate with external technicians, AMC providers and service vendors.
- Support installation, modification or commissioning of machinery and equipment as assigned.

Key Performance Areas

- Timely completion of preventive maintenance.
- Reduction in machine breakdowns and downtime.
- Timely response and closure of breakdowns.
- Availability of critical maintenance spares.
- Timely completion of plant, facility and R&D; maintenance requirements.
- Accuracy and completeness of maintenance records.
- Compliance with maintenance safety procedures.

Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
