Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Hospital Electrician to handle electrical maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment within the hospital premises. The candidate should be capable of responding promptly to electrical faults and ensuring uninterrupted and safe electrical operations throughout the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out routine inspection and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Attend and resolve electrical breakdowns and faults promptly.
- Maintain electrical wiring, switches, sockets, MCBs, DBs, panels and other electrical installations.
- Monitor and maintain lighting systems, fans, exhaust systems and other electrical fixtures.
- Handle electrical maintenance in ICU, OT, Emergency, Wards, OPD, Laboratory, Pharmacy and other hospital areas.
- Ensure proper functioning of electrical supply to critical hospital areas.
- Check and maintain UPS, inverter, generator and backup power systems as required.
- Assist in preventive maintenance of electrical equipment and installations.
- Identify loose connections, short circuits, overloads and other electrical hazards.
- Maintain proper records of electrical maintenance, repairs and breakdowns.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance/Engineering team and external vendors whenever required.




- Ensure compliance with hospital safety procedures and electrical safety standards.
- Immediately report major electrical faults or safety hazards to the concerned senior/management.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety at the work area after completing electrical work.
- Respond to emergency electrical requirements during duty hours.
- Perform any other electrical maintenance duties assigned by the management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Electrical preferred.
- Relevant experience as an Electrician, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility.
- Valuable knowledge of electrical wiring, panels, MCBs, DBs and electrical troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of generator, UPS and inverter systems.
- Ability to identify and rectify electrical faults.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures.
- Responsible, punctual and disciplined.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a maintenance team.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and during emergencies when required.

Preferred Experience

Experience: 2–5 Years preferred
Hospital Experience: Preferred

Reporting To

Maintenance Manager / Facility Manager / Hospital Administration

- Timely completion of preventive maintenance.
- Safe and proper functioning of hospital electrical systems.
- Quick response to emergency electrical complaints.
- Proper documentation of maintenance and repair work.
- Strict adherence to hospital safety protocols.
