Job Description

Following are JD for this position:

- 1. Climate and weather data analysis.

- 2. Computation of different types of climatic indices.

- 3. Development of agro-meteorological products.

- 4. Climatic hazards (e.g., drought and flood) vulnerability assessment for the agricultural, livestock, and water resource sectors.

- 5. Development of drought early warning system.

- 6. Crop yield damage assessment using statistical modeling technique.

- 7. Crop growth modeling based forecast using crop simulation modeling technique.

- 8. Would have strong analytical skill set and have ability to independently handle all statistical analysis.





9. Knowledge of GIS for mapping is desirable.

Soft Skills:

- 1. Would have good communication skills,

- 2. Would have solid planning skill set and have ability to see the big picture.

- 3. Proactive with can-do-attitude.

- 4. Would have strong team player.

Requirements

M.Sc. or Ph.D in Agricultural meteorology or Meteorology or Climate change.
