Civil Estimation Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, BOQs, and tender submissions for civil construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for analysing drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop competitive and commercially viable estimates.

The role requires robust knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, rates, quantities, and estimation practices, along with the ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Study and review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates for civil and construction works.
- Analyse project drawings and identify scope of work, discrepancies, omissions, and variations.
- Prepare estimates for RCC, structural works, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, painting, excavation, backfilling, road works, and other civil activities.
- Prepare detailed rate analysis for various civil construction items.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Prepare comparative statements for materials, subcontractor rates, and construction packages.
- Maintain and update databases for material,



labour, equipment, and subcontractor rates.
- Assist in preparation of tender proposals and commercial submissions.
- Review tender BOQs and identify deviations, exclusions, assumptions, and commercial risks.
- Coordinate with the design, procurement, planning, and project execution teams to ensure accurate estimation.
- Conduct site visits, where required, to understand existing conditions and project requirements.
- Assist in preparing budgets, cost plans, and preliminary estimates during the pre-construction stage.
- Prepare variation and additional-work estimates during project execution.
- Monitor actual project costs against estimated costs and provide cost-related inputs to the project team.
- Maintain proper records of estimates, BOQs, quotations, rate analysis, and tender documents.
- Ensure estimates are prepared within the required timelines and comply with project specifications and company standards.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in civil estimation, quantity surveying, tendering, or construction.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
