Key Responsibilities:
• Manage overall tax compliance covering both direct and indirect taxes.

• Prepare and review tax workings including income tax, TDS, GST, and other applicable levies.

• Ensure timely filing of returns, payments, and statutory submissions across tax domains.

• Liaise with internal teams and external consultants/authorities for tax matters, assessments, and notices.

• Support tax audits, assessments, and departmental queries with proper documentation.

• Monitor changes in tax laws and evaluate their impact on business operations.

• Drive process improvements to strengthen tax compliance and reporting frameworks.

Key Deliverables:
1. Tax Provision Management
• Prepare and review tax provisions (current & deferred), returns, payments, and reports.
• Maintain and regularly update the company’s tax database and records.
• Ensure accurate estimation and tracking of tax liabilities.
2. Tax Issue Resolution
• Resolve complex tax issues, notices, and discrepancies arising from filings or assessments.




• Identify tax optimization opportunities and recommend strategies to improve efficiency.
3. Tax Compliance
• Ensure compliance with all applicable direct and indirect tax laws and regulations.
• Review and validate tax computations including income tax, TDS, and GST.
• Ensure timely filing of returns and adherence to statutory deadlines.
4. Reporting
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports.
• Provide MIS and insights on tax positions, exposures, and compliance status.
5. Audit & Assessment Support
• Provide end-to-end support during internal audits, statutory audits, and tax assessments.
• Coordinate with auditors and consultants to ensure timely closure of audit observations and notices.

Experience:
• 5-10 years of overall experience in taxation (direct & indirect taxes).
• Experience in manufacturing / FMCG industry preferred.
• Hands-on experience in SAP is mandatory.
