Junior Chef – Café & Menu Development

Cravé – Bandra, Mumbai | Full-Time

Cravé is a premium smoothie & wellness bar in Bandra, Mumbai, and we are looking for a Junior Chef to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about café food and can take ownership of developing and executing a small, high-quality food menu.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in curating and developing Cravé’s food menu
- Develop and test sandwiches, salads, wraps and other café-style items
- Identify and recommend ingredients, brands and suppliers
- Create standardized recipes with exact quantities and portion sizes
- Calculate food costs and assist with pricing
- Develop simple and practical kitchen SOPs
- Train existing staff on preparation, cooking, assembly and presentation
- Handle daily food preparation and kitchen operations
- Maintain consistency, hygiene, food safety and proper storage
- Manage food inventory and communicate daily/weekly ingredient requirements
- Work efficiently in a compact, all-electric/induction kitchen

Requirements

- 1–3 years of experience in a café, QSR,



restaurant or similar kitchen preferred
- Experience with sandwiches, salads, wraps, breakfast/café food or cold kitchen is a plus
- Ability to develop and test recipes independently
- Good understanding of ingredient quality, food costing and portion control
- Comfortable working in a small kitchen environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to train and guide junior staff
- Creativity and willingness to experiment with new menu ideas

What We’re Looking For

We are not looking for a fine-dining chef. We are looking for someone practical, creative and hands-on who can help us build and execute a easy, delicious and commercially viable café food menu.
