About the role

Vireon is building the power distribution hardware and industrial intelligence platform that enables factories to operate in a protected, efficient and reliable manner by combining IoT hardware, edge computing and data science. We are designing our next-generation custom hardware platform and need an experienced Embedded Hardware Engineer to take ownership of PCB design, fabrication, assembly and quality assurance — from schematic capture to a production-ready board running in factories across India.

What you'll work on

- Design and develop custom PCBs integrating microcontrollers (STM/ESP), communication modules (4G, RS485, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, UART, SPI, I2C) and USB interfaces.
- Create detailed schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts using industry-standard EDA tools.
- Select components, manage BOMs, and work with vendors for PCB fabrication and assembly.
- Develop and execute hardware test plans: functional testing, signal integrity checks, power analysis and environmental stress testing.
- Establish and manage quality control for production batches — incoming inspection, in-circuit testing and final acceptance.
- Debug and troubleshoot hardware issues across prototyping and production stages.
- Ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
- Develop and maintain hardware documentation: schematics, layout files, test procedures and manufacturing guidelines.




- Interface with contract manufacturers to oversee fabrication, population and yield improvement.

Must have

- Proven experience designing multi-layer PCBs with mixed-signal circuits (analog + digital).
- Strong proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools — Altium Designer, KiCad or Eagle.
- Hands-on experience with microcontroller-based system design (STM32, ESP32 or similar).
- Working knowledge of communication protocols: RS485/Modbus, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet (RMII/MII), USB.
- Familiarity with industrial communication standards (Modbus RTU/TCP, BACnet).
- Experience integrating cellular (4G/LTE) and Wi-Fi modules into embedded designs.
- Solid understanding of power supply design — DC-DC converters, LDOs, power sequencing and thermal management.
- Competence with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analysers, spectrum analysers, soldering/rework stations.

Good to have

- EMI/EMC compliance testing and design for regulatory certification (CE, FCC, BIS).
- Embedded firmware development (C/C++) for hardware bring-up and BSP development.
- Industrial-grade design requirements: wide temperature range, surge protection, conformal coating.
- Managing hardware through the full product lifecycle — prototype to volume production.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
