To provide safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care to patients attending the clinic, assist doctors during consultations and procedures, maintain proper clinical records, and ensure the clinic follows infection-control and patient-safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

A. Patient Care

- Receive and attend to patients courteously and professionally.
- Record vital signs such as BP, pulse, temperature, SpO₂, respiratory rate, height, and weight as required.
- Obtain relevant patient history and inform the doctor of significant findings.
- Assist patients before, during, and after consultation or procedures.
- Monitor patients for any change in condition and immediately inform the doctor.
- Provide basic nursing care as instructed by the doctor.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.

B. Doctor & Procedure Assistance

- Prepare the consultation/procedure room before patient arrival.
- Assist the doctor during minor procedures, dressings, injections, and other clinical procedures as authorized.
- Ensure required instruments, equipment, medicines, and consumables are available.
- Follow aseptic techniques during procedures.
- Clean, disinfect, and arrange instruments after procedures.
- Ensure proper disposal of used needles, sharps, biomedical waste, and other clinical waste.

C. Medication & Injection Responsibilities

- Administer medicines, injections, and treatments only as prescribed/authorized by the doctor.
- Follow the right patient, right medicine, right dose, right route, right time, and right documentation principles.
- Check medicine name, strength, batch number, expiry date, and storage conditions before use.
- Maintain medication and injection records.
- Report medication errors, adverse reactions, or unusual patient responses immediately.

D. Emergency Care

- Identify patients requiring urgent medical attention.
- Provide immediate nursing assistance during emergencies as per clinic protocol.
- Assist the doctor in emergency management.
- Ensure the Emergency Room is ready for use at all times.
- Regularly check emergency medicines, equipment, oxygen, and consumables.
- Record emergency treatment and patient observations accurately.

Infection Control

- Follow hand-hygiene protocols.
- Use appropriate PPE when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and infection-control standards in clinical areas.
- Follow proper sterilization/disinfection procedures.
- Ensure proper segregation and disposal of biomedical waste.
- Report any infection-control concerns to the Nursing In-charge/Management.

F. Documentation

- Maintain accurate and complete nursing records.
- Record vital signs, procedures, injections, medications, and patient observations.
- Maintain procedure records and emergency records.
- Complete nursing checklists and registers on time.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient medical records.

G. Equipment & Stock

- Check availability and working condition of clinical equipment.
- Maintain adequate stock of medicines, consumables, dressing materials, and emergency supplies.
- Report shortages, damaged equipment, or expired medicines immediately.
- Ensure proper storage of medicines and clinical supplies.
- Participate in regular stock verification.

H. Patient Education

- Explain basic pre- and post-procedure instructions to patients.
- Educate patients regarding medication compliance and follow-up instructions as directed by the doctor.
- Provide appropriate health and lifestyle guidance within the nurse's scope of practice.
- Ensure patients understand when to seek urgent medical attention.

I. Clinic Operations

- Maintain readiness of consultation, procedure, and emergency areas.
- Coordinate with doctors, pharmacy, reception, laboratory, and other clinic staff.
- Ensure smooth patient flow.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and patient-friendly environment.
- Follow clinic SOPs, policies, disciplinary rules, and administrative instructions.

Daily Duties

- Check nursing station and clinical areas.




- Check emergency equipment and medicines.
- Check oxygen supply and emergency trolley.
- Check essential medicines and consumables.
- Prepare consultation/procedure rooms.
- Attend to patients and record vital signs.
- Assist doctors during consultations and procedures.
- Complete all nursing documentation.
- Ensure proper biomedical waste disposal.
- Handover pending cases and important patient information to the next shift.

Professional Responsibilities

- Maintain professional conduct and discipline.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Report for duty on time and follow the duty roster.
- Wear prescribed uniform, ID card, and appropriate PPE.
- Maintain respectful communication with patients, attendants, doctors, and colleagues.
- Attend training programs, clinical updates, and emergency drills as required.
- Report incidents, complaints, medication errors, or patient-safety issues immediately.

Accountability

The Staff Nurse is responsible for:

- Patient safety and quality nursing care.
- Accurate nursing documentation.
- Safe medication administration.
- Proper infection-control practices.
- Proper handling of clinical equipment and supplies.
- Maintaining readiness of emergency facilities.
- Following doctor's instructions and clinic SOPs.
- Maintaining professional discipline and confidentiality.

Qualification & Skills

- Qualification: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing or as per applicable regulatory requirements.
- Valid nursing registration as applicable.
- Basic knowledge of emergency care and first aid.
- Knowledge of infection control and biomedical waste management.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a clinical team.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
