Job Title: Android Developer
Experience: 3–8 Years
Location: Hyderabad
Job Summary
We are looking for skilled Android Infotainment Developers to develop, enhance, and stabilize Android Infotainment Applications and Middleware (MW) for automotive embedded systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Android application development, AOSP, middleware, and software stabilization. This role involves developing new application features, resolving software defects, performing root cause analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality automotive software in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Android GUI, Application, and Middleware (MW) software features for automotive infotainment systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Java, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android Framework, and AOSP.
- Perform software stabilization by resolving audit findings, customer-reported issues, field defects, and SQA observations.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA), implement corrective actions, and ensure timely defect resolution.
- Prepare and maintain software documentation, including SRS, SADS, and SUDS.
- Manage project activities and issue tracking using JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-up meetings.
- Follow coding standards, perform code reviews, resolve static code analysis findings, and ensure compliance with development processes.
- Support software integration, validation, CI activities, and source code management using Git.
- Collaborate with architects, testers,
and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful software delivery.
Mandatory Skills
- 3–8 years of experience in Android application development for embedded or automotive systems.
- Strong programming experience in Java and Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience with Android SDK, Android Framework, AOSP, and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience in Android Application and Middleware (MW) development.
- Solid debugging, troubleshooting, and software stabilization skills.
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and software defect resolution.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Git.
- Knowledge of Embedded Linux and build environments such as Yocto.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Automotive Infotainment (IVI) or Human Machine Interface (HMI) development.
- Knowledge of Android platform architecture and automotive software development.
- Exposure to automotive communication protocols such as CAN and tools like CANoe.
- Familiarity with automotive software development lifecycle, quality processes, and validation methodologies.
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and software version control.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience working with Automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers is an added advantage.
- Exposure to automotive embedded systems and software integration activities is preferred.
