We are hiring a Design for Safety & Reliability Practitioner with a strong background in quality processes in a technical environment to join our Home Solutions team in Bangalore, India.
Key Responsibilities As a DfSR (Design for Safety & Reliability) Practitioner, you will: Lead the deployment of DfSR processes, tools, and software across multiple product development teams.
Define and drive DfSR plans at both system and subsystem levels.
Ensure all DfSR activities and deliverables are completed on time and aligned with project requirements and development milestones.
Support the definition of Mission Profiles and CTQs (Critical to Quality characteristics) and ensure traceability throughout the product development lifecycle.
Drive design risk assessment and risk reduction activities using tools such as P-Diagrams, DFMEAs, FTAs, and Safety and Reliability Scorecards.
Champion the integration of safety and reliability principles into design practices, fostering a culture of excellence.
Drive reliability analysis activities including design margin assessments, useful life analysis, reliability prediction, and other reliability engineering techniques as appropriate.
Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Industrialization teams to integrate safety, robustness, and reliability considerations throughout the product development lifecycle.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 6 years of experience in engineering quality roles, including design risk assessment.
Experience with power electronics products is preferred.
Experience facilitating DFMEAs and FTAs in a product development environment.
Experience with design for safety and reliability methodologies is preferred.
Experience in Agile product development environments.
Experience with reliability engineering methodologies is a plus.
Proficiency in Relia
Soft tools is a plus.
Knowledge of electronic assemblies and related industry standards is a plus (e.g. IPC standards).
Strong team player.
Good communication skills to effectively describe and understand complex topics.
Excellent intercultural communication and collaboration skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and highly collaborative product development environment.
