**Job Description - Java Backend Developer (5+ Years)** **Experience:** 5+ Years **Role:** Java Backend Developer / Senior Java Developer **Key Responsibilities** + Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance **backend applications using Java** . + Develop and enhance **microservices-based applications** using **Spring Boot and Spring Framework** . + Design and implement secure, scalable **RESTful APIs** and integrate with internal/external systems. + Participate in application design, technical discussions, code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization. + Develop applications following **clean coding, SOLID principles, design patterns, and industry best practices** . + Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases and optimize database queries. + Implement appropriate **exception handling, logging, monitoring, and application security** . + Develop **unit and integration tests** and maintain good code coverage. + Work with CI/CD pipelines and support deployments across different environments. + Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis. + Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps,



and other engineering teams in an **Agile/Scrum workplace** . **Mandatory Technical Skills** + **5+ years of hands-on Java backend development experience** + Strong knowledge of **Java 8/11/17+** , including Collections, Streams, Lambda Expressions, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Concurrency + Strong hands-on experience with **Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC** + Strong experience in **Microservices architecture and development** + Strong experience designing and consuming **REST APIs** + Experience with **Spring Data JPA / Hibernate** + Strong knowledge of **SQL** and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL + Good understanding of **OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and data structures** + Experience with **JUnit, Mockito** , or similar testing frameworks + Experience with **Maven or Gradle** + Working knowledge of **Git** + Understanding of **CI/CD pipelines** + Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex backend/production issues
