Purpose
The GM / Sr. GM – Supply Chain will be responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain operations encompassing demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, manufacturing coordination, customer service, logistics, and execution excellence. The role is accountable for ensuring product availability, service level achievement, working capital optimization, and seamless execution across the supply network while driving continuous improvement initiatives and digital transformation.
The incumbent will act as a strategic business partner to Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, Commercial, Finance, and Quality teams to deliver superior customer service and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities & Deliverables
Supply Chain Strategy & Execution
- Lead end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure uninterrupted product availability and superior customer service.
- Drive execution of supply plans through close coordination with manufacturing, procurement, quality, new projects management, and commercial teams.
- Establish robust processes to improve responsiveness, agility, and supply reliability.
- Develop medium and long-term capacity plans aligned with business growth objectives.
Planning & S&OP; Leadership
- Lead the demand and supply planning process to ensure accurate forecasts and optimized inventory.
- Drive monthly S&OP; governance to balance customer demand, manufacturing capabilities, and financial objectives.
- Translate business requirements into executable supply plans and monitor adherence.
Manufacturing/CMO & Fulfilment Excellence
- Ensure production plans are executed effectively through continuous monitoring and issue resolution at both inhouse and CMO locations.
- Drive OTIF performance and customer service metrics across US, ROW markets.
- Lead capacity utilization, production scheduling, and inventory deployment strategies.
- Minimize stock-outs, back-orders, and excess inventory.
Inventory & Working Capital Management
- Develop inventory strategies balancing service levels and working capital requirements.
- Improve inventory turns while safeguarding supply continuity.
- Establish inventory governance and exception management processes.
Performance Management
Define And Monitor KPIs Including

- Forecast Accuracy

- Customer Fill Rate
- Supply Plan Adherence

- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for service failures and execute management by exception framework.
Continuous Improvement & Digital Transformation
- Drive digitization initiatives across planning and supply chain processes.
- Implement advanced planning, analytics, and automation solutions.
- Lead process improvement programs focused on productivity, service levels,
and cost optimization.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
- Build strong collaborative relationships across functions.
- Provide leadership during business disruptions and supply risks.
- Foster a culture of accountability, execution excellence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Pre-Requisites
Education
- Education: Bachelor’s degree & MBA in SCM/Operations/related full-time courses from Tier 1 Institutes like IIMs, IIM M (Nitie), SP Jain, IIMs, IITs, NMIMS etc
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, OTC, Consumer Durables, Automotive, Chemicals, or Process Manufacturing industries.
- - Expertise in supply chain management, supply planning, logistics, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Excel macro, Solver, optimisation tools).
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Theory of Constraints, business processes & improvement methodologies.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
