MuleSoft Integration Architect / Senior Developer

Role Purpose

We are looking for a hands-on MuleSoft architect who can determine where MuleSoft provides genuine architectural value within a broader integration modernization program and implement representative integration patterns.

This is not a requirement to migrate all Informatica workloads to MuleSoft. The architect must be able to distinguish API/application integration workloads from bulk data movement and ELT workloads.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess integration requirements and identify workloads appropriate for MuleSoft.

- Define API-led and application integration patterns.

- Design reusable System, Process and Experience APIs where appropriate.

- Identify opportunities to replace duplicate point-to-point integrations with reusable services.

- Develop representative MuleSoft POCs.

- Define security, API management and governance standards.

- Design integration orchestration and exception-handling patterns.

- Evaluate batch/file integration requirements and determine whether MuleSoft is technically and economically appropriate.

- Assess runtime requirements and MuleSoft consumption implications.

- Design logging, monitoring, error handling and operational support patterns.





- Support performance testing and production sizing.

- Develop API specifications and integration interfaces.

- Work with enterprise architecture to establish approved MuleSoft usage patterns.

- Solid hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform experience.

- Mule 4 development.

- DataWeave.

- API Manager.

- Runtime Manager.

- Anypoint Exchange.

- API-led connectivity.

- REST/SOAP integration.

- File and database connectors.

- OAuth and enterprise security patterns.

- Error handling and retry/recovery design.

- Deployment and CI/CD.

- Performance and runtime sizing.

- Production support and troubleshooting.

Strongly Preferred

- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or equivalent experience.

- Experience modernizing legacy ETL/integration environments.

- Experience integrating with Snowflake.

- Experience with Salesforce and Salesforce Data Cloud.

- Understanding of MuleSoft licensing and consumption models.

- Experience comparing MuleSoft with data-integration/ELT platforms rather than assuming MuleSoft is appropriate for every workload.

Experience Level

8-12+ years integration experience, including at least 5 years of substantial MuleSoft design and development experience.
