Key Responsibilities• Lead end-to-end Current Product Development (NPD) projects from concept to commercial production.
• Develop and optimize formulations for food, beverage, functional food and related FMCG products.
• Conduct laboratory trials, pilot trials and product benchmarking.
• Work on ingredient selection, functionality, compatibility, dosage optimization and cost optimization.
• Conduct sensory evaluation and coordinate product improvement based on feedback.
• Perform competitor benchmarking and market/product research to identify new product opportunities.
• Prepare and maintain formulation sheets, trial reports, specifications, BOMs and other R&D; documentation.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Procurement, Regulatory and Marketing teams for successful product development.
• Lead scale-up activities from laboratory/pilot level to commercial manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot formulation and production-related issues during commercialization.
• Conduct trials for process optimization, stability and shelf-life improvement.
• Support shelf-life studies,



product stability evaluation and related documentation.
• Ensure products are developed in line with applicable food safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate new ingredients, raw materials, suppliers and alternative ingredients.
• Work on cost reduction and formulation improvement without compromising product quality.
• Support preparation of product specifications and technical documentation.
• Maintain proper records of all trials, observations, results and final formulations.
• Manage multiple R&D; projects and ensure timely completion as per project timelines.
• Guide and mentor R&D; Executives, Interns and junior team members.
• Participate in customer/product development discussions and provide technical R&D; inputs wherever required.
