About the role
We're looking for a hands-on D365 Technical Architect to shape and deliver solutions across our Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, and Project Operations implementation, along with the Power Pages sites that extend it to our customers and partners.
You'll own the technical design for one or more major feature areas,
working day to day with Product Owners, Functional Architects, and agile delivery teams. You'll also help mature how we build and ship software, from source control and automated pipelines to testing and release management, and you'll influence the long-term technical direction of our D365 and Power Platform estate.
Overview
Solution architecture
- Translate business needs into scalable technical designs on Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure.
- Architect secure, high-performing Power Pages sites, including authentication, table permissions, Web API usage, and Liquid and Java Script customization.
- Design integrations using Azure Functions, Service Bus, APIs, and SSIS/Kingsway Soft, choosing the right pattern for volume, latency, and reliability.
- Favor configuration over custom code where it serves agility and keep customization supportable through Microsoft's release cycle.
- Produce clear, current design artifacts: architecture diagrams, data models, integration specs, and decision records.
Dev Ops and application lifecycle management
- Own and evolve our ALM strategy: environment design, solution layering, managed solutions, and branching.
- Drive operational readiness: monitoring, telemetry with Application Insights, alerting, and runbooks.
- Plan and lead adoption of Microsoft's release waves to maximize platform value and minimize regression risk.
Partnership and communication
- Work alongside delivery teams in an agile environment to see designs through to adoption, not just hand-off.
- Summarize options, risks, and recommendations clearly for executive audiences.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in software development or solution architecture,
including 4+ years designing and building on Dynamics 365 or Power Platform.
- Deep hands-on development experience: C#/.NET plugins and custom APIs, Java Script/Type Script, PCF controls, Power Automate, and the Dataverse Web API.
- Hands-on technical delivery experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Service and/or Field Service.
- Proven experience building and supporting Power Pages (or Power Apps portals) sites.
- Practical Dev Ops experience: source control, CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform solutions, and environment and release management.
- Experience working in a heavily customized, integrated D365 environment.
- Ability to analyze business processes and turn requirements into sound technical designs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs to developers, business stakeholders, and executives.
- Comfort balancing multiple priorities and adapting as they change.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Sales and Project Operations.
- Field Service mobile configuration and offline design, or Resource Scheduling Optimization.
- Omnichannel for Customer Service, Copilot Studio, or other AI capabilities in Dynamics 365.
- Azure integration services: Function Apps, Service Bus, Logic Apps, API Management, and Key Vault.
- Data migration and integration using SSIS with Kingsway Soft or Azure Data Factory.
- SQL Server, T-SQL, and stored procedures.
- Microsoft certifications such as Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600), Power Platform Developer (PL-400), Dynamics 365 Customer Service or Field Service Functional Consultant, or Azure Dev Ops Engineer Expert (AZ-400).
Knowledge, skills & abilities
- You take ownership and act before being asked.
- You solve problems creatively and stay pragmatic when trade-offs get hard.
- You collaborate easily across teams and levels, from developers to senior leaders.
- You stay organized and deliver in a fast-moving environment.
- You keep current with Microsoft's roadmap and bring new ideas to the team.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
