Department: Production – Electrical Cable Manufacturing
Reporting To: Production Shift In-Charge / Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:
• Production Target: Achieve shift-wise production targets as per the approved production plan and delivery priorities.
• Machine Utilization: Ensure maximum utilization of available machines and minimize idle time, breakdown losses, and unnecessary changeovers.
• Manpower Management: Ensure proper manpower deployment, productivity, discipline, and effective utilization of operators and helpers.
• Technical Knowledge of Key Machines: Possess sound technical knowledge of major cable manufacturing machines and processes, including wire drawing, stranding, insulation and sheathing extruders, CCV lines, Sioplas extrusion lines, cabling, armouring, rewinding, and associated equipment. Ensure proper machine operation, process control, and troubleshooting within the scope of responsibility.
• Quality Control: Ensure adherence to approved process parameters, manufacturing specifications, and quality requirements.



Immediately address and report process deviations.
• Material Consumption: Control excess raw material consumption, process waste, rejection, and rework to minimize manufacturing costs.
• Downtime Control: Monitor hourly production and machine stoppages, coordinate with Maintenance, and ensure timely corrective action.
• Material and Drum Availability: Ensure timely availability of raw materials, process drums, packing drums, and essential consumables to avoid production interruptions.
• Safety and Housekeeping: Ensure compliance with safety procedures, secure machine operation, and good housekeeping on the shop floor.
• Reporting and Coordination: Maintain accurate shift production, downtime, manpower, and material consumption records. Coordinate effectively with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and the incoming shift.
